Nuclear energy is receiving significant interest throughout the world given the demand for low-carbon, baseload sources of energy to replace aging plants and to meet increasing growth in electricity consumption.

Greengate has been at the forefront of this effort by participating in the financings of the first nuclear power units to be constructed in the United States in over a quarter century, as well as other aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle.

Unit 3 of the Barakah nuclear power plant in the United Arab Emirates has begun commercial operation, while Unit 4 has completed hot functional testing and is in the final stages of commissioning. Greengate served as financial advisor to the export credit agencies for this transaction.
